Where did you start

I am 24 years old, I will soon be 25. I love to read. I read about one book a week. I want to start writing, but I’m not sure where to choose. I’m not sure if I’m too old to start writing. I don’t have a lot of writing history. And I have basic studies. Where did they all start? Where would you recommend one to start? Should I get a journal or just open a Word document and start writing? Are there any books that you recommend for proper grammar / writing techniques? Where do you get your inspiration from? I’m not sure if I’m going to be good, and that’s fine. I just want to write words and I don’t know where to start. Any advice would be appreciated.
