How to keep suspense and still achieve high word count

Hello everyone! I’m sure others have had issues with this before, so I thought I’d ask you for some advice here. I’m writing a thriller, and after getting comments that my first draft was too slow, I’m having a hard time keeping the story suspenseful and twisted, while still keeping it long enough to be a thriller as I’m aiming. hit somewhere between 80k-100k words. How to prolong the climax and keep readers interested without revealing things from the beginning? How do I get a high word count without bogging down the story?
