It is a really fantastic read, and also a great novelty. From the moment that the evil Pennywise makes his first appearance in the storm and mocks, and finally kills, poor little Georgie, I was completely hooked from beginning to end. And when I finally finished the book, I enjoyed it so much that I STILL felt I could continue reading more. It was really so good. I especially loved all the little tributes to the classic horror monsters, like the vampire and the werewolf that King introduced into his story. So, if you want to get stuck in IT, my advice is to read the novel and avoid the three-hour television movie, which was not so good.
