In the last year, I encountered some real challenges when writing a book about my career, not so much to remember the thousands of things that I had to go through to make a living in the IT field, but more about editing, repair and search. of so many mistakes in my complete writing on so many pages, now 651.
It has been hard. A lot of work, a lot of reading, arrangement and rereading. It surely takes a long time to write a book. This year I read a book called Unbroken that was a World War II story written by Lauren Hillenbrand. She took 7 long years of her life of research and hard work to complete this great book, which is one of the best books I have read and this book will be a film at the end of the year.
Writing is difficult. Writing very well is even more difficult. Making sure that all those paragraphs and sentences HAVE SENSE is a real challenge, and it seems that no matter how many times I check my book, I still find something NEW that I have to completely redo, adjust or just fix.
I’m almost done with my book about my career in IT, which lasted more than 32 years and ended with a very bad contract in which I decided that I had had enough: on the beaches of Normandy, France. I also made a last great friend, someone I loved and respected a lot, only to discover that he died of cancer this year and that he was only 48 years old. Since 2010 in my career, I have met many coworkers who have died of cancer and two who really committed suicide. All this has been shocking and it was another reason why I didn’t need to need to hang everything up and do something else.
What we all do for money is another great book, just talking about the bad jobs out there, many of us have no choice but to take, pay the rent, pay that house and even buy food. Everything costs a lot and I have rarely seen it when you get the value of your money for something else. That’s why we work, that’s why we pay all those fees for the money, which by chance is the title of my book.
I also write scripts, having completed 3 so far and reaching the next step seems to be impossible. I am very proud of my first movie, and I know that one day it would be a great movie if it were done right. I am still improving and rewriting even after 2 years when I started it.
