This thread is the center of all the questions not answered by the frequently asked questions and too short for individual threads. If you want feedback on naming structures, trope usage, writer motivation, gender conventions, technical writing tips on grammar or punctuation, or any other kind of question that can get a quick and definitive answer, this thread is for you. If you are a novice writer trying to learn the strings, and you just have to ask yourself an urgent question, post it here. And if you think you can help someone else with your own question, feel free to do so – that’s what the community of writers is for!
This is also the meeting place for an “off topic” conversation that may not be directly related to writing, but is nice to share. Did something interesting happen this week? Something sad? Did you read a good book that you want to mention? Hear a good joke? Almost anything goes with a general discussion, as long as it is respectable and courteous.
