How do you write a character that travels a distance?

How to grow as a writer? Thoughts?

So, I’ve been writing for a couple of years, and I love it! Now that I have officially written my second novel, I want to know how I can grow as a writer.

What exercises can I do or what things can I keep in mind when writing?
I read a lot, take notes and write words that I don’t know or would like to use. I write almost every day, and I often ask for criticism of things I’ve written.

But I feel like I’ve hidden a road block and I don’t know where to go from here. Any ideas?
