Name of this trope / defect?

I know I’ve seen it before.

It is when one or more characters _do not_ ask an obvious question because if they did, the danger would be eliminated or the plot would be resolved.

It’s a plot hole, yes, but there’s a fancy TV Tropes name I can’t remember.

I saw this happen in one of the episodes of a television show recently. At the time, I was pulling my hair out because of the plot failure, but since then I have had my hair removed trying to remember what the name of “characters who don’t ask the obvious question for the plot to continue” is.
