Write cold characters of a limited 3d person
How would you do it (or if you can give me some examples in terms of book recitations or prayers) where others think your OC is cold and & # 39; insensitive & # 39 ;? Just a general lack of warmth, not a sociopath or psychopath, just someone who doesn't give much compassion naturally. Someone who does not hug or kiss hello / goodbye. There is nothing really bad mentally, they just have a stiff upper lip and maybe they feel too much inside what everything hides trying to hide it.
& # x200B;
You are also writing from this cold POV of OC in limited third person, then, a video camera on your shoulder. You can't literally describe how cold they are, just how people react to them. (Can you? Or to do this on a technical level, do I need to be more a third-person hybrid-omni? But isn't that a head jump?)
& # x200B;
For example, in a book I am reading, the OC describes someone they know with these examples … this person seems unpleasant and lacks a lot of warmth: & # 39; said, nothing less than ice cream & # 39 ;, giving & # 39; glaring looks & # 39 ;, ignoring someone where a "blow to the face would have been better", saying something that was a "stabbing dismissal" … someone apologizes to this OC and simply picks up a book, they leave and They ignore everyone in the room.
If this OC chooses to ignore people's reactions, how does the third-person POV work to show how cold they are?
Edit: especially because you're at the head of the OC and they're emotional, but you can't keep repeating * why * they're not reacting warmly. There are only so many times that I can write & # 39; but she chose not to say anything & # 39 ;.
(The book I am reading uses loose examples of Sarah J Maas, A Court of Wings and Ruin)
