How do you write to someone who signs?
This character is not deaf, but cannot speak. He uses BSL, but I don’t know exactly how to quote him when he signs. I read that speaking in sign language can be indicated by writing "italic" or simply italic without quotes. What would make more sense? Also, should “signed” be used instead of and in the same way as “he said”?
