changing my nickname to my real name

I don’t know if anyone had asked this. I have published two books online. One received some positive reviews and comments, especially from strangers.

A friend of mine mentioned that my nickname is a foreigner. I am African I lived and grew up in the western part of Africa and my nickname does not show that I am African. My real name: juliana igberaese
My nickname; jules RAE
I basically shortened my safe name and my name.

My question is, will it be strange to change my nickname to jules Igberaese when people already know me as “jules rae”?
Especially now I wrote a book like Jules Rae and I plan to write a sequel like Jules Igberaese.
My fear is that I would lose the fans that I already got from my first job
