Important events first or lead to an important event first
I posted this on another reddit and was referred to here, so here it goes: I was wondering if it’s common to write the main events of a book before writing the headline. How does it usually happen throughout history? An example would be writing the destruction of the house of the 3 little pigs and the ending before thinking about what is between these events. I usually do well to create the important events and play on the emotions of the characters, but I often have the blank page syndrome when I don’t know where I am going with my story. Do you, as authors, write important events before you have a clue or are you writing the book in the order it was published? Ps: I don’t mind not using a scenario / chapter / part that I made if there is no way to bring it back to it from the previous story. Thanks.
