Using the "movie" mentality to write a novel: is it a bad idea?

I love writing and I love movies. When I write, I always think about the angles, the music, how the scene will play out, etc. When planning my writing, I plan everything like a movie. The beats of my story and how my narrator will navigate through it. For me it’s just part of the creativity side of writing, but what do you guys think? I’ve read too many books that look like a movie, but I don’t know if it’s a bad idea.
