Is it disappointing for a reader to kill a character with unsolved problems?

Hello, I am writing a story where many characters become merciless murderers, and many of them have insecurities and complexes (inferiority complex and so on) that they will never get over due to their death. I wonder, is it bad to have “incomplete” character arcs or is it realistic for them to die before they are mentally healthy? (Also sorry for my broken English, it’s not my first language and I’m not writing the story in English so please don’t hit me)
