How do you write a character that travels a distance?

The title says it all. How do you write a character who travels from point a to point b in a part that isn’t very important to the main story? Whether it’s 10 miles or 100 miles. I want to peer review/read what I’ve written so far for my stories that I’m going to turn into scripts, but I don’t know how to do it without risking my ideas being “stolen”. Is there a platform for this kind of thing? Are there trustworthy people *here* who can give me feedback on my writing? I don’t have many people around me who really want to take the time to read. which sucks.
