When I was 20 I started writing what I hoped would be my first novel, but I finished without abandoning it. I found all the things I had done over the weekend and now I think I want to finish them.

I have what I think is a good idea for a story and had written a decent amount (about 10 chapters) so I’m not starting from scratch. That said, it’s been 14 years and I think I’m a better writer now. If you were in the same position as me, would you edit everything you have to fit or start all over again? To give you a very brief overview: it is the story of a man living in a peaceful world who is caught in a web of mystery surrounding how that peace came about and how many people are willing to sacrifice to discover the truth. It sounds cliché, but I can’t reveal too much without messing up the main plot points. What you think?
